Lots 133 to 151 comprise an archive of letter, cards, telegrams and photographs sent to the Royal Physician Sir Daniel Davies. The son of a Welsh preacher Davies was born in the valleys in 1899, he went on to study at Cardiff University and worked in London from 1927. He became Physician to King George VI in 1938 and subsequently other members of the Royal Household also The Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Knighted in 1951 he died in 1966
